Western Work Boats is a strong business that grew fom a one man band back in 2000.  Sean Kelly is the managing director and leads the company with his “entrepeneurial maritime spirit”.

Now more than 10 years old, Western Work Boats has forged a strong position within the New Zealand industry and includes a strategic partnership with Seaworks (http://www.seaworks.co.nz) of Wellington.

WWB has played major roles in such as primary exploration and ongoing maintenance in the offshore oil and gas industries and latterly the research of seabed resources.  WWB has backed this up with continued support and demonstrated an extraordinary record of safety and reliabilty.

WWB has had a long term supply agreement with Air Affairs (link) and the Royal New Zealand Navy in providing seaborne support services used in various official and training roles around the coast of New Zealand.

Consistently WWB supplies vessel for the data acquistion content of upkeep and maintenance of navigational charts for LINZ (link) around the coast of New Zealand.

International Operations stretch further afield particularly in Australia and the Pacific and also Asia and the Middle East where WWB has worked in the past and conitnues to build it’s presence in other countries.

WWB is committed to the strengthening of it’s relationships with dedicated and unparallelled support to it’s cutomers.

The long-term continuity of the company is of vital importance to us. That continuity depends on our generating a modest profit. A modest profit margin enables us to pay dividends and wages that are in line with the market. It also gives us an opportunity to grow, specifically through our long-term investment programme.
